Local aid of $2,000 per mile is sought, with advance deposits to cover election costs. If Goshen and Syracuse approve, construction could begin and connect Goshen to Lake Wawasee within six months.

Horse injury after buggy collapses at Main and Clinton
A horse owned by W. L. Yoder eight miles southwest of Goshen slipped and fell on the Main and Clinton street corner last evening. The animal sustained serious injuries to its legs and the buggy was badly damaged.

About 50 Goshenites witnessed Interurban Athletic association boxing at Springbrook Casino South Bend last night. The eight round bout Clarence Clase of Philadelphia versus Jock Tutte of Brooklyn ended in a draw. Kid Goulette of Rochester lost to Buddy Ryan of Chicago by referee stoppage in the fifth. Local bouts Young Wahlert vs Kid Taylor and Clyde Boyd versus Louie Seifert also featured on the program with draws noted. Next show set for February 10 headlined by Joe Leonard the South Bend slasher.
