Fire at New Paris destroys barn and contents
At 9 o'clock last night a barn owned by Frank Beckner of New Paris and used by Dr. A L Griffin burned to the ground. The structure and its contents were destroyed, but the horse escaped. The doctor carried insurance with Elkhart County Mutual Aid Society. Two buggies a sleigh and substantial feed were also burned.

Minnie Lowe Dies in Goshen After Illness
Mrs. Minnie Lowe wife of Bert Lowe of Chicago and daughter of Mr and Mrs George Redecker of Goshen died at 416 North Second Street Goshen after a prolonged illness. She moved here about six months ago and recovery was deemed unlikely. Funeral arrangements will be announced tomorrow.
