A large crowd from farm and town attended the Elkhart County Farmers Institute at the Irwin opera house. Mrs Naomi DeVilbiss of Fort Wayne and Mr McMahon of Kendallville spoke on education on the farm and interdependence of farm and town. Musical numbers closed the evening program.

The session began at 9 with musical numbers by Miss Myrtle Clark Mrs Lillian Johnston and Miss Myrtle Trump. Mrs De Vilbiss discussed poultry care and fruit growing noting the sparrow damage to orchards and advising soil care and tree trimming. Officers were to be elected later with J d Zallinger named president and others reelected.

South Bend Proposes New City Charter Salaries Bills
