Goshen youth Charles Bartram known as Sergeant Bartram and a U S army recruiting officer pleaded guilty to forgery in Benton Harbor circuit court. He received two years in the Michigan state reformatory at Ionia and will be sent there immediately. His earlier misdeeds included a jewelry theft in South Bend and forged checks. He spent much time in Elkhart South Bend and Kenton Harbor before his arrest.
