L. Penfield. William S. Thompson, an Lagrange county pioneer, died Sunday at Judge John W. Hanan’s home in Lagrange at 86, after years in Orland. David and John Ober, father and son, face a $5,000 damages suit by Henry Witt for an assault in December. John Willard Bishop, DeKalb county pioneer, was found dead in bed aged 74 in Jackson township. Thirty-five South Whitley Hoop Co. employees struck when a switch to piecework was enacted. Jacob Cox, 35, of Whitely County, married and living near Luther, is mentally unbalanced and to be sent to a sanitarium. he hallucinates gas forming near his home and fears lighting a match.
