Escaped Prisoner Returns From Auburn To Elkhart
Willie Eash son of William Eash a former Auburn saloon keeper turned Elkhart proprietor returned to Auburn from Dekalb county jail after escaping and surrendered unconditionally. He had been sentenced to five years in the Jefferonville reformatory for car looting along the L M S line. He obtained jail keys via a transfer in Elkhart and later handed them to his father before surrendering. He received his original sentence and was sent to Jeffersonville.
