Boyd Haines, 46, recently divorced from Amanda Haines, attempted to kill himself by cutting his throat in Chicago. Found on the Lake Shore structure, he was hospitalized with a guarded prognosis, carried $105, and said domestic troubles and despondency led to the act. He is a Goshen contractor and former carriage maker.
Sheriff Thomas today received a letter from H C Laird Lake Shore detective in Toledo confirming that John E Squires an Elkhart man had been moved from Toledo to Elyria for trial. Squires and associates robbed railway cars at Elkhart and took plunder in automobiles.
