Death of C W Kerstetter Pioneer Goshen Resident
C W Kerstetter aged 61 a Goshen resident for 59 years died at his South Sixth Street home at 6 15 pm after a decade of illness. A jeweler by trade he operated stores in Lagrange and Goshen before retiring three years ago. Survived by wife three children Jay Harvey and Trene and two brothers James and Edward the deceased was a longtime deacon in the Presbyterian church. Funeral Friday at 10 am at his home.

Settlement Reaches 1400 in Change of Venue Fees for LaGrange
LaGrange county officials reached a settlement with Elkhart and Noble counties over change of venue fees. Auditor Weaver and Clerk Masten announced the agreement after Noble deputy clerk Frank N. Prickett and Elkhart attorney Lou W. Vail met to finalize payment. LaGrange will receive about 1400 from the two counties. In a separate incident, Joseph Moser and wife’s farm home near Granger burned after 9:30 p.m. causing about 15000 in loss with no insurance. The cause remains undetermined.
