The Elkhart Sale and Service company shows a capital of 50 000 dollars with 50 000 shares of 1 each and will manufacture engine and automobile accessories. Directors include Peter G. C. Ken lajl Max Solomon Gustave O. Johnson Perl J. Carten Frank B. Fields and Fred C. Carpenter. The B.C. Manufacturing company lists 20 000 dollars capital with 200 shares at 1 each and names Tlumas DeShone Milton B. Smith and Russell Gill as directors.
Member of the Thomas McCoy post of the American Legion of Elkhart will motor to Wakarusa tonight to stage a demonstration in the interests of Legion members. Saturday night they plan to travel to Bristol for a similar demonstration.
Five men drove into Churubusco near Fort Wayne early today bound the night watchman George Durden took keys to the vault and used an acetylene torch to open the Ohio State Bank vault then fled with deposit boxes. Officials reported losses near $960,000 though robbers escaped before the main safe was emptied. Oscar Gundy head of the bank is father of Mrs. H. V. King of Goshen.
Federal authorities hold Rafael Mallen, statistician for the Federal Trade Commission, amid a national drive on radicals. The first 124 detainees face immigration hearings as many may be chosen for deportation. Also seized is William D. Haywood, secretary of the Industrial Workers of the World, sought on an unnamed charge.
