Neighbors and Bline family members helped salvage some contents before the house was lost. The family plans to move into a vacant nearby dwelling. Estimed loss stands at 3500. Radych Summerlot 25 was found stealing coal from the Goshen Gas Co plant about 9:30 Saturday night carrying 200 pounds on a hand sled toward his North Sixth Street home. A former employee, he pleaded guilty before Judge Drake. He received a $2 fine and a 10 day jail sentence suspended on good behavior.
William Davis, 18, an Indiana youth, was transferred from the reformatory to the state farm on November 5. He escaped just before Christmas, prompting a statewide search, and returned to the reformatory claiming to rejoin for Christmas dinner but arrived hours late. Davis is serving two to fourteen years for entering a house to commit a felony.
It develops that James C. Younh, once suspected in the Flowers interurban robbery and later fully exonerated, is a freight train conductor who had been with the company for two and a half years.
