Last evening officers learned Mrs. George Warren, middle aged and devout, became violently insane at her North Side home. Dementia induced by religious excitement led to an inquest by Drs Kreider and Whitmer and an attempt to admit her to the asylum for the insane after Sheriff Elliott and Deputy Chatten escorted her to the county jail’s insane ward.

Slip on Corn Cob Injures Waterford Teacher
This morning Joseph Farrell a Waterford schoolteacher was walking in the barn behind the Farrell home on South Fifth Street when he stepped on a corn cob in the hay mow. He kept from falling but shortly after his right ankle swelled and a physician diagnosed a severely strained ligament. He will remain at home for at least three weeks.
