Mrs George Douglas, 61, dies at her Warsaw home on Christmas morning after a yearlong heart ailment. Funeral plans will be announced by the family.

Judge Walter A. Funk of the circuit court in South Bend refused to accept a $151,000 bid for the Gillette Motor Car Works of Mishawaka now in receivership. The objection came from stockholders who want to keep the company operating. The bid was submitted by M. W. Mix of Mishawaka.
Felix Fishery, Mike Bloo, Tony Glee, Dan Buggins, and James Banfield were fined 26.35 dollars after being found guilty of hunting with a ferret. Warden Rigney filed the complaint against the alleged offenders.
