President Wilson sent informal notes to all belligerents urging a general discussion of terms to end the war. The notes have reached capitals and diplomats expect results soon. Indianapolis December 21 Special The Elkhart Motor Supply Co of Elkhart has increased its capital stock from fifty thousand dollars to one hundred thousand dollars marking a substantial expansion of its financial base and production capacity.
The Lutz Schramm Pickle Company of Lagrange, after bankruptcy last year and many unpaid pickle deliveries, has been reorganized and all back claims paid in full. The firm will operate on a cash basis next year.

Miss Stella Miller of Cromwell, sought after for her mother's death, was found in Elkhart where she works as a domestic for Charles T. Greene. Family efforts to notify her via the Elkhart post office failed, causing delays. She learned of the demise at the Elkhart Truth and left for Cromwell at 6 a.m. today after confirming her address with the Western Union office.
A large Goshen college crowd enjoyed the Rambler Quartette last night. The group performed Across pieces like Crossing the Bar and Absent with strong stage effects, earning enthusiastic encores. Green Wald’s solo work Gerber’s readings Wallgren’s piano styling drew high praise for youth and polish.

Mrs Sarah Immell aged 34 a Goshen resident died last night at 8 30 from blood poisoning after about three weeks illness. She was a patient at Goshen hospital briefly. Survived by husband A S Immell mother Mrs George Poyser son Roy daughter Katherine two sisters Mrs Pierre M Binkley and Mrs John Boyer brother Harvey Maurer. Funeral Sunday at two from 1017 South 12th street Rev John Keehley officiating burial Oak Ridge cemetery.
Lewis K. McClure aged 64 a noted farmer residing south of New Paris and Mrs Mary E Hansen 55 of New Paris were united in marriage. The bride formerly ran a Goshen millinery shop moving it through Millersburg to New Paris where she sold her stock.
The Waldron theatrical company, also called the Clark Dandy Dixie Girls and the American Beauties, was stranded in Warsaw. Some members began moving toward Chicago as officials arranged assistance and directions for the rest of the troupe.
Goshen College selects its debaters for a triangular inter-collegiate meet in March. Affirmative team members are W. E. Oswalt, Capt. A. D. Mortuary notice reports John S. McDowell aged 64 life long Elkhart county resident died yesterday at his home three miles south of Elkhart on Prairie road after four years of paralysis following an illness. He was born October 10 1852 on a farm near his death place. Surviving are his wife a son a daughter a grandchild a brother and three sisters. Funeral services set for 1:30 p m Sunday.
Mrs J N Frye of Ligonier is critically ill and relatives have been summoned. Ervin Chapman is confined to his Hotel Hattle apartment after injuries from a cafe incident with West Goshen youth Lowell Schadt. John Carpenter aged 89 is very ill at his daughter Mary Carpenter Coates home. Frank A Hascall returned from Toledo and has improved. Mrs Abraham Christner of Millersburg underwent tumor removal in Goshen hospital.
Prizes are being awarded today at the Bango township centralized school also known as Jimtown for corn potatoes pigs and dairy judging. County Superintendent Weaver and County Agricultural Agent Metzger attend.
