Jacob D Schrock of Clinton township celebrated his 98th birthday today, born December 15, 1823. He resides with his daughter Mrs Urley and is father to H. J. Schrock of Goshen, South Seventh Street.

Arthur Veoth age 25 died in Omaha Neb of appendicitis at his parents home. He was the son of Sol and Mary Van Horn longtime Goshen residents who moved west over 20 years ago. He was nephew of Henry Williamson of East Paul Street and Mrs Van Horn is Mr Williamson’s sister. Surviving are his parents. A telegram announcing his death was received by Mr Williamson this morning.
Chicago youth Butler R. Storke known as the boy wizard of Lasalle street and former Wawasee Inn buyer with forged checks has been arrested in Denver for alleged fraud. His parents have aided him before but are unlikely to help this time.
A farmers' institute at Goshen College will open tonight and continue over tomorrow with discussions and demonstrations for local agrarians.

J. D. Greer of Pierceton fell from a water tank at Dola and was rushed to Fort Wayne Lutheran Hospital. He sustained fractures to both large bones near the ankles and was severely jarred, with fears of possible spine injury.

A portion of the American Tenties Musical Comedy Company traveled to Plymouth for an imminent event. Several members left for Chicago by morning while others stayed and borrowed funds for the railroad fare to Plymouth. The troupe’s manager reportedly hurried to Chicago with meager receipts in hand.
