Pittsburg officials report Andrew Toth, a 68 year old life prisoner at Riverside, faces possible pardon after his sons present a Hungarian confession by Stephen Toth admitting the killing of watchman Michael Quinn at Braddock mills. The confession arrives as Toth collapses, thinking his pardon near, while Sobart and Rusnok were later pardoned and aided the family in pursuing the true culprit.
Bedouins near the Dead Sea revolt worsens as they sack railway stations north to Maan and Djurfeldwich. They slaughter soldiers and railway workers. Government sends more troops to quell the uprising.
Latest observations from the United States Weather Bureau show New York 35 and Albany 36 with cloudy skies, Chicago 40 clear, Washington 38 clear, Philadelphia 32 clear. Forecast calls for fair and colder conditions across Illinois Indiana and Wisconsin with brisk northwest winds.

Laporte Indiana December 15 Weldon Leist 23 married was badly hurt at Rumely Pulley Works when an emery wheel burst and struck him in the right side A rivet lodged between the wheel and guard causing the accident He was taken to Holy Family hospital with a severe abdominal contusion and possible internal injuries if hemorrhages do not occur recovery may follow
Judge B. 8. Aikman granted Mrs. Horsley a divorce decree in Rockville Indiana. She receives 3500 dollars alimony 1000 dollars for her attorneys and regains her former name Etta C Weatherwax. The court ruled for Horsley on his cross complaint dissolved the restraining order and upheld a deed to John Shea Jr as valid. Mrs. Horsley sought 16000 dollars in her complaint.
In Anderson Indiana on December 15 county probation officer Nora Dyson removed Thelma Frock four from the home of her parents Mr and Mrs Orville Frock in Elwood. The child was placed in the orphans home pending a suitable adoption. The mother showed affection but did not object. Mrs Frock had appeared in Elwood police court several times.
Sanford Thornburg failed to obtain a divorce in Anderson Indiana after being unable to pay his wife’s train fare from St Louis to appear in court. The judge ordered payment but Thornburg could not raise the money and the case was dismissed.
Dr Randall Goodwin of East Mt Carmel Indiana angrily went to his wife’s Illinois home after she and their two grown sons left him. A desperate struggle followed as the wife and one son were cut on hands and body and the other son suffered a dangerous throat slash. Goodwin was overpowered and jailed. all are expected to recover.
Entries have closed in the White River Pet Stock and Poultry Association meeting now in progress in Washington Indiana. More than 1000 exhibits are recorded with pets arriving from Hasleton Brazil Petersburg Littles Vincennes Bloomfield Montgomery Odon Terre Haute Bullivan and other Indiana towns. Prise awards probably will be made today.
Hershel Flora, 28, was bitten and trampled by a vicious horse at his Columbus home on December 1. The animal bit his right forearm, kicked him in the face, breaking his nose and causing facial injuries.
