Passenger train collides with freight near Thorp. one dead
In Thorp Wisconsin on December 14 a collision between Minneapolis Chicago passenger train No 3 and a nearby freight train killed one crewman and seriously injured two others. About 15 passengers sustained varying injuries. Rescue and investigation followed at the scene.

Kosciusko circuit court jury found John D. Bond of Goshen guilty of obtaining money under false pretenses and fined him 200 dollars after two hours deliberation. Fire at Melvin Cripe’s property 211 Prairie Avenue West Goshen last night destroyed a Ford touring car a barn and a shed with damage estimated in the hundreds of dollars. Firemen responded quickly saving portions of the buildings and insurance was not carried on the vehicle or structures. The blaze appeared to start under the car and authorities suspect alcohol in the radiator as the cause.
