The Temple Tron company controlled by six railroads and dominating about nine tenths of unmined anthracite in Pennsylvania was ruled in violation of the Sherman act by Judges Gray and Buffington with Judge Lanning dissenting. Omaha receipts about 4,400 cattle with slow to lower demand and hogs 8,400 with most sales 7.25 to 7.46, while East Buffalo reports steady cattle and strong hogs with pork prices around 7.00 to 8.00 and lambs at 7.00.

At the Big Four Quarry two miles east of Mitchell Indiana a premature charge exploded injuring Sidney Winneger who lost an eye part of his nose and part of one hand The condition was reported as possibly fatal with the man hospitalized after the blast described as a quarry accident involving twenty six sticks of dynamite.
