County Institute Opens With 200 Attendees At Madison Street
The Elkhart County Teachers Institute opened at Madison Street School at 9 30 this morning with about 200 in attendance. County Supt A E Weaver presided. Lectures by Prof Roberts of Ypsilanti Normal College and Prof English of Moore's Hill College covered aims of education, civilization, and classroom principles. Officers were elected and the program included discussions on the course of study and social problem. The day featured religious and musical elements and adjourned for dinner.
