Stolen Horses Recovered Near Bristol
Two horses and buggies stolen earlier were found near Bristol on Sunday. Nicholas Inbody's horse was recovered by Sheriff Elliott, while Harry Anspach's horse, traced after a tip from Officer Stamp, was located at Herbert Bishop's farm two miles south of Bristol where it had been held for the owner to claim.

Excitement at Wakarusa Oil Prospect
Drillers at Wakarusa struck Trenton rock at 458 feet early this morning producing small quantities of oil and gas. Oil analyzed as high grade lubrication quality. W. W. Sterling and E. L. Arnold of St. Joe Oil & Gas Co. have led the effort since Monday. By afternoon depth was 485 feet with a gusher expected and stock rising from 25 cents.

Judge Jere Neterer of Whatcom Washington sentenced H St John Dix to ten years in the penitentiary for wrecking the Scandinavian American bank. Dix fled to England and was arrested there about six months ago. Neterer is a former Elkhart county resident.
