The Central Mennonite Conference begins a three day gathering at Silver Street Mennonite Church, five miles east of Coshen. An attendance of several thousand is expected, with a large tent for travelings. Five hundred delegates from Illinois and others from nearby states will attend. Preachers include Prof Nook Byers Da WLoth Page Emanuel Troyer and Lantz, with Ub. as secretary. Only two local churches participate in the conference.

The 8S. S. Convention of the Northern Indiana district met at the Church of the Brethren with about 1500 attending sessions across the day and evening. Delegates came from Northern Indiana, Southern Michigan, and Northwestern Ohio, with nearly 70 autos parked on Clinton and Fifth streets. The Bible Institute opened today and runs until Friday evening, featuring Rev. A. S. Blough, Rev. H. K. Ober, and Rev. Lafayette Steele as instructors.
