Land fraud case ties taber to six sales in indiana
Asa E. Taber 55 of Allegan Michigan, a paroled convict, was held to the federal court in Indianapolis on a $1000 bond for using the mails to defraud by selling land he did not own. Authorities say he conducted six fraudulent sales around Goshen with aliases including Emmett Griffin and J A Porter, aided by a forged notary seal. He advertised by mail and in papers to several victims in Indiana and Michigan.

Youth arraigned for cigarette papers possession at Knightstown
