Fire destroys Warsaw home killing trio in blast

Barn and Contents Burn on Walter Berkey Farm
A large barn on the Walter Berkey farm opposite the Elkhart county infirmary burned at 9 o clock this morning. Henry Brum baugh occupied the barn tenanted on the farm. The blaze destroyed 100 bushels of wheat 200 bushels of oats 150 bushels of rye and 15 loads of hay. Spontaneous combustion is given as the cause. All livestock were removed. Contents valued at 1000 building at 400. Insurance carried. The fire attracted much attention as it was visible from interurban cars.
