Auto Wreck Kills Mrs Alonzo Stowe Near South Bend
The 58 year old Mrs Alonzo Stowe was instantly killed when the automobile carrying her husband and daughter overturned on Chapel road eight miles west of South Bend. The steering wheel pierced Mrs Stowe's head as the car went over an embankment. Also killed were Postmaster Robert Dobbins and his wife near Montmorenci after a collision and overturn. The Dobbins daughter Vivina and niece Jeanette were rescued unharmed. Dr C M Lieblee, a dentist from Greenville Ohio, died near Tipton when his car was struck by an interurban. He had turned back on the tracks for unknown reasons.

Two Women In Hospital After Elkhart Auto Crash
Mrs. H L Clark and Mrs. Walter Myers of Detroit are hospitalized in Elkhart with injuries from a midnight auto crash on the Middlebury road four miles east of Wikhart. Mrs Clark bears multiple fractures and possible internal injuries. Mrs Myers has a hurt hip and body bruises. Clark’s party included H S Clark and his six year old son Harry. taxi owner Earnest Thompson drove the opposing Ford and is uninjured. Thompson’s glare allegedly blinded the Clark vehicle, sending both cars into ditches and injuring the two women.

Buggy Demolished After Fort Wayne Highway Collision
Thaddeus Werker of near Ligonier drove a Ford roadster that struck Elmer Rogers three miles southeast of Goshen on the Fort Wayne brick highway. A new buggy valued at 110 dollars, owned by Rogers and carrying Misses Luelli Hockert and Ruth Hostetter, was demolished. The horse and both girls were injured by windshield glass. Werker and Rogers were uninjured. Werker attended local high school in 1911 and 1912.

Roy Gelbaugh, 32, of Mishwaka reportedly died at five am after drinking two ounces of carbolic acid, following alleged harassment of his wife.
