Forger Taken East to Stand Trial in Pittsburgh
S A Arthur, arrested by Detective Stahl of the Pennsylvania force in Warsaw on Friday, was moved to Pittsburgh by an officer of the Pennsylvania Railroad on Monday morning to be tried for passing a forged check. The check bore an identical signature to one found on him in Warsaw, dating from a year ago.

Lightning Ends Beardsley Life and Barn Blaze near Edwardsburg
James Rufus Beardsley, 38, farmer, was struck by lightning yesterday around 2 PM near Edwardsburg, instantly killed as he left a barn that caught fire and burned with contents valued near 1200 dollars. Mrs Beardsley and two daughters pulled the husband from the flames but could not save him. He was a nephew of A R Beardsley of Elkhart.
