John Breiding a 47 year old Goshen wood worker jumped into the hydraulic canal about nine o'clock. Relatives provided no reason for his despondency. Emanuel Turtle Smith located and recovered the body this morning. Coroner Mast ruled death by own action. Breiding left a wife in Seattle and two sons, with siblings in Goshen and Elk Hart. He had a long local residence and lodge affiliations.
