Ten year old Charles R. Davis, son of Clarence Davis, is in General hospital Elkhart after a bicycle collision with an Elkhart city street car. He and Charles Tompkins were struck when an automobile crowned them. Tompkins was unhurt. Davis may die from injuries and both legs were amputated.
South Bend parties negotiate with Hiram F. Kidder for leasing the Kidder double room on East Lincoln avenue to operate a motion picture theatre. Plans to convert the structure into a playhouse are ready and estimates of expense are being secured.

New Haven Conn Aug 14 A coroner opened an inquiry into a Shore Line electric railway crash at North Branford late yesterday afternoon in which 19 people died and nearly 40 were injured. By late last night Branford undertakers had identified 11 of 17 bodies removed and expected all to be claimed within hours.
