A six year old boy, William Honeywell, drowned yesterday afternoon at Turkey Creek inlet on Lake Wawasee. The body was recovered from about three feet of water after his ten year old sister Chri sola Toneswell found him. The death is the first drowning of the season at the lake.

A barn struck by lightning Saturday afternoon near Shipshewana, owned by Osiah Miller, was a total loss. The fire destroyed 15 acres of wheat 35 loads of hay and stored oats and meat with no insurance. Couple Hurt When Wagon Overturned Near Elkhart
