Five Die At Railroad Crossing In Griffith Indiana
Five persons were killed and four injured when a freight train on the Elgin Joliet and Eastern railroad struck an automobile at Griffith Indiana. Victims include O L Kendall of Kingsville Ohio and his son and daughter and Charles Spaulding and his daughter Leo Spaulding. The Kendall and Spalding families were in a large touring car en route to Chicago. Railroad officials say the driver may not have seen the crossing where five railroads pass.
