Paris reports Marshal Foch commander in chief of Allied armies in World War I has been invited by the United States government and several American organizations to visit the United States. The Echo of Paris cites the invitation as a developing news item from Paris dated August 6.

Several applicants are being considered for the position of principal of the high school but no definite selection has been made.

Clarence H Hollopeter 47 died in Topeka. He was son of John Wesley and Mary Zimmerman Hollopeter and born in Allen county. He was one of fourteen children and survives include one sister and seven brothers.
A splendid program was given Sunday morning at the Cradle Roll promotion exercises of the Topeka Mennonite Sunday school. Mrs Lee Hartzler of Goshen delivered a very impressive promotion address. A picnic dinner followed at Atwood lake to conclude the service.
