Three Goshenmer defendants faced Elk Hart Circuit Court after late yesterday arrests arranged before the mayor. The case involves multiple suspects linked to a planned incident, with authorities detailing charges and potential penalties.
Three Goshen men Willard Diddle Lee Seevers and Russell Juday faced arraignment after a safe theft at the Ulery Beverstine building 172 East Clinton Street. They pleaded not guilty and were bound over to circuit court with bonds of 700 for Biddle and 500 each for Seevers and Juday. Evidence suggested Biddle acted with Seevers and Juday’s knowledge.
Lou O. Hall sues Fred Hall for divorce in Superior Court alleging cruel and inhuman treatment and failure to provide. Alimony of 1000 dollars is demanded. The couple, married 56 years, reside in Elkhart.

San Francisco reports July average daily attendance at the Panama Pacific Exposition as 69 602 with an overall daily average of 55 268 since February 20. Concessionaires express serious disappointment at lower patronage with more than four months remaining until December 4 closing. Travel figures from Elkhart County to San Francisco are only fair. The San Diego exposition also shows weak patronage.
Indianapolis business men through five organizations decide to build a National Guard armory in the city with an expected cost between 500000 and 800000. Daily meetings refine plans and a city armory group will soon be formed. The 1915 legislature allotted 20000 to a city for armory funding, but Indianapolis plans to bear the cost without state aid.
A woman, identified as Mrs Louis Ditner of Viotapillarise, allegedly attempted suicide by leaping from a moving Pittsburgh express train near Quaker Valley. She rolled along the tracks for thirteen feet before being rescued unconscious and hospitalized. Her three children remained on the train and are being cared for by railroad officials until their father arrives.
Cass county circuit court weighs William Moore an inmate at the Northern Hospital for the Insane, from Elkhart, arguing whether he is truly insane or held as his wife desires his confinement. Moore claims he is not insane and seeks his release.
With over 2,500 landowners and farmers in attendance the Illinois Farm Tractor Demonstration in Champaign opened promptly. Spe cial reports note a large turnout and keen interest in the showcased machinery and farming practices across the region.
The Mehl family reunion was held yesterday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Merle Pietcher in Middlebury with about 100 attendees. Notable guests included Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Mehl and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Paff. The next reunion is planned for Shipshewana Lake on the second Thursday in June 1916.

Remaining James Barnes kin include Mrs Hattie Kesler of Goshen and Mrs AL TL Gray of Valley City.
Elizabeth Dalis two year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Joseph Dalis Hudicris of Elkhart died after eating a quantity of casara tablets found in a dresser bottle. She hid behind a bed and later convulsions led to death. Survived by parents four brothers and sisters.
George and Henry Kratz report no definite date for Miller Lees and Edward Arlington's 161 Ranch Real Wild West exhibit in Goshen. A tentative September slot was discussed during a merchants meeting to raise about $80 for city and county license fees lot rental and water charges.
Harry Shick of Elkhart and Cy Nivers, hotel operator, were arraigned before Justice J. Thomas in Cassopolis on a local option law violation. Both men posted bond for a Monday court appearance set for August 16.
The condition of VY Fink, which had been critical for several days, is somewhat improved. Mrs. Mary Bartholomew, mother of the county assessor, is ill at her home in Clinton township.
Died in Pittsburgh, PA this morning. CG Wilson received a telegram announcing the death of his cousin FE I McFarland, about 60 years old. Burial will be in Harrisburg, PA.
A deed recorded in the recorder's office shows the C W and M Railway Company conveying to the Big Four Railway Company the entire right of way of the Michigan division of the Big Four road.
Carl Egenroad and Amanda Messick were married last night by Rev. J. L. Kimmel at his residence. The couple will reside in this city.

In Elkhart Mayor Smith's court Peter Sarantos of Family Theater faced a ten day suspension of his license. The suspension is waived if Sarantos stays within the law and disobeying mayoral instructions triggers immediate effect. The trial occurred Tuesday with Sarantos summoned to show cause why his license should not be revoked for displaying films he was told not to show.
M L Warner, 56, of Kosciusko County, died this morning at his daughter Mrs Calvin Cooper’s home in New Tavis. Born near Syracuse, he lived nearby all his life. Survived by wife and three children Mrs Lloyd Sinning, Mrs Calvin Cooper, and Jusset Warner. Funeral arrangements not yet made.
The case againstiet Good, charged with permitting a cow to run at large, was moved on a change of venue and continued until tomorrow morning. Mayor Spohn will name a judge to sit in the city court.
Funeral services for Edward Eldridge were conducted yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the First Baptist church with Rev. Smith officiating. Burial followed in Oak Ridge cemetery.

Harry K. Thaw of Pittsburgh, en route to the Frisco fair by auto, remains in Chicago through next Saturday because of bad roads. He spent Sunday night in Goshen and attended the Eastland benefit at the Green Mill Gardens, drawing considerable attention wherever he goes.
The funeral for Frank Jones will be Saturday forenoon at 10 oclock in the Methodist church at Middlebury. Rev G E Martin will officiate. Interment will be in Grace Lawn cemetery.
