Mortuary records show Margaret Culp 75 died at 8 pm at the home of daughter Mrs. J L Berkey three and one half miles south of Elkhart on Prairie street highway after six months of declining health. Survived by one daughter one brother one sister and three grandchildren. Her husband had died earlier. Culp lived mostly in Elkhart and St Joseph counties. The Cramer infant daughter of Mr and Mrs Arthur Cramer died this morning from whooping cough after several weeks illness. Surviving are the parents and one brother. Funeral arrangements to be announced later.
Mrs Mand Roush of 206 School street found her house ransacked on Wednesday evening after returning from work. A small sum of money and several pieces of jewelry given as presents were taken. Entry was gained through a cellar way. investigators suspect children were involved.
Donald Cleveland two years old, son of Lemuel Cleveland of 804 North Seventh Street, died at Mishawaka orphanage where he had been for several months. Survived by his father and grandmother Mrs John Slabaugh of Joshen. Funeral at the father's home tomorrow at 1 pm. Burial in Syracuse cemetery.
Madam Ernestine Schumann-Heink world’s greatest contralto will appear in a program at Winona Lake next Monday evening. The concert in the big auditorium starts promptly at 8 o’clock and is expected to draw a capacity crowd and a brilliant audience.
