Frederick A. Herring Dies in Chicago Home
Frederick A. Herring aged about 60 son of Dr. Frederick Herring of Goshen died Friday night at his Langley Avenue Chicago home after a long consumption illness. He was born in Germany in 1842 and lived in Goshen early life and studied law here before moving to Chicago. He was formerly with Johnson Herring Brooke and practiced law before 1871 fire. Surviving are his wife daughter Eleanor his father two sisters and three brothers. Funeral services were held at his Chicago home with interment at Oakwood Cemetery beside a deceased daughter.

Mission Service Held Last Evening at Mennonite Church
A mission meeting at the Mennonite church on North Ninth street drew a large audience. Miss Kate Brede mus, formerly Catholic and a longtime mission worker in slums, spoke for over an hour.
