San Jose Calif Aug 1 John Black the Scotch golf champion of California lies in a local hospital with concussion and fractured ribs after an car crash while Herbert Brown another San Francisco sportsman died from injuries. Black who lost to Gene Sarazen in the national open at Gilencos was returning to Oakland from Pelmonte with Brown when their car skidded and overturned. Passersby rushed them to a physician then to the hospital where Black showed fighting spirit despite grim prognosis.

Collision Kills Fifteen In Cincinnati Suburb Train Wreck

Ten U.S. planes to pass Goshen en route to Chicago
