Farm Home Robbed Near Goshen on Plymouth Road
Thieves entered the farm home of S. W. Cripe one mile southwest of Goshen on the Plymouth road and stole a rifle, two nickel plated watches, shoes for men and women, whiskey and provisions. Entrance was gained by cutting screens on the west door after the east door screen was cut. Occupants slept on the second floor. discovery came at breakfast. Cards describing the stolen goods were mailed today as efforts to capture the thieves continue.

Strangers Detained In Goshen After Suspicion Of Theft
Two about twenty two year old suspects found on street by officers were taken in for questioning after possessing new gloves socks and pocketbooks. They claimed to live in Syracuse New York and travel since last May across Canada and the United States. They said they bought the items at a second hand store and refused to admit guilt. They arrived from Elkhart on a freight train and spent Saturday at the carnival grounds. No charges existed so they were released later that day.

Runaway Team Draws Bruised Nose for Girl and Narrow Escape
At about 3:30 pm a team of horses owned by J. R. Brallier west of Topeka bolted after a broken neck yoke strap. Brallier leaped clear as the buggy toppled, two children aboard were thrown. the girl suffered a bruised nose while the boy was unhurt. The horses ran from Fifth Street near Lincoln Avenue to Monroe Street, stopping at E. W. Miller grocery. the wagon home was wrecked but the animals escaped with only scratches, and passerby George Defreese narrowly escaped their kicks while halting the team.
