Michigan Central fireman badly burned near Battle Creek
Charles Butterfield of Goshen and son of Sidney Butterfield suffered severe injuries when a flue split in a freight engine near Battle Creek Michigan. Fire and steam engulfed him and he was taken to Nichols Hospital in Battle Creek in critical condition. He had married about three months ago.
