The eighth grade class of 73 will graduate May 26 in the high school assembly room and be joined by Christmas and country entrants for a total over 100, the largest entering high school history. The current high school enrollment is 252. The program features piano duets, solos, choruses, and a diploma presentation chaired by De Miller, with Geo Cregier and Ruth Kelly among the performers.
Last evening two men in poor condition drove a gray horse along East Lincoln avenue. While turning onto Seventh street they hit the curb, tipping the buggy and throwing both men onto the pavement. One man suffered a deep cut above the left eye. the other was shaken but unharmed. Neighbors helped restore the horse and buggy. The men are known locals.
Louis Fredeke who has run the saloon under the Hotel Hattie for five years will discontinue the business and turn it over to John Hattie the hotel manager. The saloon moves to the first floor from its current location and Fredeke plans to move to Indiana Harbor after June 1.
A team of horses attached to E R Lacy’s wagon bolted this morning, racing west from hallway stations to Second Street on Lincoln Avenue. Frank Lantz restrained the reins. no injuries or damage reported as a crowd watched. City Treasurer Wilson paid off a $2,000 city bond today.
Chauncey B. Stiver, Goshen businessman and native of Elkhart County, is the Democratic nominee for city treasurer. The role requires strong business experience to manage taxes, improvements assessments, water rents and electric light bills. Police laid a trap and he was captured after using a marked bill in a purchase. Estimated loot ranges from 350 to 400 dollars. He faces a hearing and possible circuit court bound over.

Mrs Amelia Shively and Daisy Shively plan to move to Elkhart though she keeps Goshen ties.
The K of P lodge held its weekly meeting at Castle hall followed by a banquet for members hosted by Joe Hawks and Elmer Newell. Cigar extras were provided by Wallace Schaffer and the gathering enjoyed a delightful evening.

Immel and Hess closed a sale transferring possession of Tillie A. Cauffman’s 60 acre farm in Clinton township to Trustee J. J. Zollinger. The deal, recorded yesterday, totaled $2,400.
