High School Team Defeats Faculty In Close Contested Game
At Ariel ball grounds yesterday the local high school team beat the faculty squad in a tight practice match. Bechtel and State starred for the faculty with Shinn strong in the field as Hedgepeth and Randall formed the battery for the faculty while Bungay, Daub, Keith, and others contributed to the lively game. Final score line shows the school victors edging the faculty in a well played afternoon contest.

Milford fire razes frame building on Clayton farm
High wind Friday afternoon sparked a blaze at the Thomas Clayton farm northwest of Milford. The frame residence burned to ashes, with Mr Kirkdorfer and family losing nearly all their household effects. A new school building cut appears on page four, showing plans at Fifth and Jefferson streets.

Nose Severed in Wagon Accident
John Lowry about 75 sustained a severe cut to the nose yesterday when a wagon front collapsed from a broken king bolt. He fell and struck a sharp iron piece, nearly severing the nose. Doctors Kreider dressed the wound and inserted seven stitches. recovery expected with no serious outcome.

Wrestler Edward Kurtz Suffers Shoulder Fracture at Ariel Ground
At Ariel ball ground yesterday Edward Kurtz, a high school student, fractured his left shoulder while wrestling Claude Ment zer. Dr Becknell dressed the fracture and Kurtz will miss training briefly for the upcoming track meet but can compete. He was taken home four miles east of the city by his father.

George Moon a longtime Indiana political figure died in Warsaw aged 86. An Irish immigrant who arrived in 1836, he served as Kosciusko county treasurer, state legislator for two terms, and eight years as U S revenue collector before retiring after serving as Warsaw mayor. Fire destroys Fetters barn near Milford after Big Four engine pass
Friday afternoon flames erupted from the Daniel Fetters barn located a quarter mile south of Milford. With no one at home, the conflagration consumed the structure along with a horse valued at about $100 a calf, buggy and harness, grain, hay, and carpenter tools. Investigators believe a passing Big Four engine caused the fire as high winds fed the blaze.
