Bowman county is booming say townsite agent A K Gordon who reports a flourishing county seat town. After selling lots last November twenty blocks were platted with only sixteen undeveloped. six lumber yards four elevators two banks several stores and ample dwellings. A $12500 courthouse a $25000 bank a $11000 schoolhouse and twelve houses are under construction as engineers plan twenty more blocks and a fall sale expected to reach at least $55000.

Weekly Market Letter Highlights Cattle Hog Trends
The market ended with gains in cattle and hogs while sheep declined slightly. Cattle topped 4.00 per cwt on a 1270 lb load sold by Warren W. Hurd, and range steer prices ranged around 4.00. Hog sales ranged 6.50 to 7.00 with a 7.00 top on a choice load. Receipts totaled about 8600 head with a quarter shipped to Chicago.
