Murderer Lakey Kills Wibaux Young Man
Special to the Chronicle from the Wibaux Pioneer reports a fatal shooting on Wibaux street. Max M. Lakey used a six shooter to kill Frank Nelson about 4 oclock Saturday. Nelson died Sunday morning in Glendive hospital. Lakey was held after a clash with Officer Wynn and bound for district court. Nelson, about 21, had moved to Wibaux and was described as sober and industrious. A special religious program is planned with Rev. Stickney and Rev. Rood for an all day event including morning afternoon and evening services.

Fire Burns Dickinson Building and Nearby Shop

Guster Trail Ranch Passes Through Ownership Change
Lord Charles Gankel of Arthas North Dakota has bought the old Custer Trail vanel on the Little Missouri river about forty miles south of Medina. The site has a long history with General Custer camping nearby in 1576 and later being developed as a ranch by A C Huidekooper and Eaton brothers. It later gained fame as The Dude Ranch and operated as a summer hotel after 1904 under Charge Donal son of Minneapolis. Visitors from around the world have frequented the ranch.
