Regular correspondent Henry Schultebein returns from Oregon planning to sell everything and move his family this fall. The Five Points area farmer is well known for proving up on his homestead this year. Beach visitors, school news, and local shop and farm notes fill the column, including near misses with a kerosene lamp and a neighbor pig issue. Local residents travel, trade, and mix with the Wind River area, with remarks on town critics and a nontoxic editorial urging civility and growth.
To the public Richardson's coal mine eight miles north of town will be open to accommodate all customers Monday November twenty third. J. E. Richardson signed this notice announcing the mine's new hours and inviting local patrons to visit for purchases.
