The Marmarth lot sale delayed to seven pm due to a washout near Mobridge. Fifty-six bids failed to spark lively activity. inside lots fetched 300 dollars and corner lots 500. Sixty-three lots sold for about 40 thousand dollars as Marmarth eyes future growth. Local notes report new stockyards for cattle and rail improvements fueling expansion.

He predicts Ferris will win and lauds his loyalty and booster spirit.
Former President Grover Cleveland dies at his Princeton home after a long illness. He served as Buffalo mayor and twice won the Democratic nomination for president, defeating Harrison in one term. Funeral planned for Friday at Westland residence on Bayard Lane.
