Golden Valley Farmers Plan Expanding Elevators and Mill

Golden Valley farmers met at the opera house in a large session of the Golden Valley Farmers Co-Operative Co. More than 200 stockholders heard praise for cooperation and discussed enlarging the primary organization to build new elevators on the south line by October first. The plan includes a Beach feed mill and using foul seed through branch houses. A dividend of one cent per bushel was declared. J. M. Still was reelected president as directors listed.

In the city the Farmers Co operative Society met to choose a business location. They plan to start operations on June 15 and have leased the John Baller Property, to be readied for use as the new business.

Baccalaureate Services Rendered at City Church

A large congregation gathered at the Congregational church for baccalaureate services honoring the graduating class. Seats were reserved for the graduates and the high school faculty as Rev. Thorpe of Belfield delivered the noteworthy sermon to an appreciative audience.

Roscoe Family Visits and Travel Plans

Mr and Mrs Jim Roscoe and daughter Hazel were visitors in the city Thursday. Mr and Mrs Rob Roscoe left for Loyal Wisconsin on Thursday for a two weeks visit with relatives. Mrs John E Haskin from the locality north of Beach left on Thursday for Loyal Wisconsin where she will visit with her parents in that city.
