Medora Court Concludes Docket After Wearisome Term

The Medora district court term ends with most cases resolved including Johnstone vs Rush over cattle damages and Stockwell vs Haigh postponed. Beach Home Talent Minstrel Show Aims High Gate

The Episcopal Guild presents a Beach minstrel show next Monday evening in the opera house with fifty trained voices and city soloists. The Beach band and orchestra will perform, promising top talent and a packed house for a worthy cause. Admission is 75 cents for adults and a children’s rate applies, followed by a high class dance.

Milton Reed and Sid Broderick, Beach residents, predict Beach will be incorporated as a city within two years. They praise Beach as a booming town with plans for a building surge next spring and summer. Burke returns from Stillwater to Golden Valley for holidays. Four Quarters South of Beach Realize Record Farm Prices

North Dakota school land sale at Medora set a state record with bids exceeding appraisals. Four quarters south of Beach averaged $29.93 per acre, with the northwest quarter selling for $60 and the other three at $50 $44 and $40 per acre. Some rough parcels failed to sell. The sale drew many bidders and included a full list of descriptions, appraised values, purchasers, and prices.

Married at Bismarck John Bloom Weds Agnes Hogan

John Bloom formerly the Hub restaurant counter man married Agnes B Hogan in Bismarck on Tuesday morning. Mrs Madison attended the ceremony and returned home Wednesday. The couple plan to establish a home at Underwood with possible visits to Carlyle, as their circle of Beach friends offers congratulations.

Old Timer Ends Life by Hanging in Belfield Hotel

John Brodrick, known in Beach and other parts of the state for his sporting circles, died by his own hand in a Belfield hotel last week amid prolonged intoxication. He registered at the Imperial, claimed he’d been doped on a train, and was despondent over lacking liquor. Coroner ruled strangulation by self. He was about 45, leaving a wife and child. letters indicate his wife in Chicago and a brother in Sterling, Illinois.

Beach Visitor Reports Dennis Growing Busy Place

Wm Dilley of Dennis Montana visited Beach on Tuesday and noted recent growth with a post office store and blacksmith shop. Ruth Knutson and Ben Poppler obtained a marriage license at Bismarck last Tuesday and plan to reside in Bismarck after marriage.
