Man Shot in Cold Blood on Claim Near Horswel
In Ingart Toomby was shot and killed by Carl Huffy Monday at nine o’clock on a claim near Horswel. The two had a July feud over a settlement. Toomby died from a heart‑line wound as he stepped inside his door. A neighbor, Asgard, found him dying and alerted authorities. A coroner’s inquest was held and Sheriff placed Huffy in Mott jail. Both men were bachelors. Toomby lived with his mother who is distressed by the tragedy.
