Gilson faces five counts in federal court in Bismarck set to begin March 4.

Wednesday 24 more ladies joined from 2:30 to 5 with Hearts as a new game. A five thirty luncheon, decorations of Washington imagery, hatchet shaped tally cards and silk flag favors. Out of town guests included Mrs Rutherford and Miss Rutherford of Grand Forks, Mrs Whitmore and Miss Hitchcock of Chicago.

President Hannaford Writes to Chairman Lovell about right of way
President J M Hannaford cites prior promises by Beach Mayor and Commercial Club on right of way for Golden Valley branch. He notes $125000 spent on ROW and grading, and asks Lovell to secure assurances that grade would be completed for October or subscriptions refunded. If 80 percent of ROW funds are deposited by June 1, 1915, Hannaford will refund those sums unless track is ready for crops by November 1, 1915.

Man Near West Hope Kills Self
George Art a 30 year old farm hand on the Thompson McIntosh place near Westhope North Dakota shot himself with a ten gauge shotgun. He had been ill and unable to sleep, living alone while Mr McIntosh was away in Ontario. Neighbors found him near a wagon, describing a despondent, lonely winter leading to tragedy.

Explosion Hurts Wellcome Family Near Edmore
A Sunday fire at a home three miles west of Edmore ND followed by a gasoline lamp blast left Mrs. W F Wellcome seriously burned and her two sons Guy and Arthur badly hurt. The house burned completely as the family escaped through windows, with Mrs Wellcome sister of local residents Stella Sparks. Jacob Anton from south of Gladstone was later arrested for school neglect.

Killed in Wagon Overturn Near Towner North Dakota
Joseph Stromberg, about twenty one, employed by Axel Gumelius on his farm near Tow ner, North Dakota, was accidentally killed when a loaded hay rack overturned after the team pulled away from the meadow. Stromberg was crushed beneath the rack and died before reaching town. He had come to work for Gumelius in August and had been in good financial but poor health.

Shooting incident leads to fine in Dan McLeod home case
In Sheldon North Dakota on Feb 22 Herman Johnson, 20, of Sargent County, fired shots at a sleigh passing the McLeod home, hitting a lamp and injuring no one. He was arrested two hours later and fined 50 dollars plus costs. About 100 witnesses have been subpoenaed for the federal court term opening in Bismarck March 16, including a rehearing of U. S. v. Sam Clark and Crawford, publishers of Jim Jam Jems.
