Funeral director E O Gault opens own shop in Overstad area
Gault, formerly with Overstad and Hoverson, resigned to start a new business. He returned from Minneapolis after a week away to purchase stock and rent a building next to A J Reichenecker’s paint shop on Second avenue. He attended the North Dakota undertakers convention in Grand Forks on the 14th and 15th.

Death notice and health updates from Mulette to Fred Geary
In a Mulette S D letter to Fred Geary last week, the death of his father occurred February 12 in the 68th year of age. He survived his wife a little over a year. Harry Heath Jr. is recovering from a severe cold that settled on his lungs after a week in bed. Louis Kreitinger, a farmer twelve miles south who proved up a homestead last fall, is expected home soon after spending most of the winter in Missouri and other eastern points.

Beach Literary Society Date With Mrs Larsen Next Week
The Beach Literary society will meet with Mrs W W Larsen next week Tuesday at 2 00 p m. A large attendance will be appreciated. At his home nine miles northeast of this city David Sommers held a dance last Saturday night for Beach and Golden Valley friends. A Wisconsin Cafe delegation attended and Grace reports the ride out was thrilling and she refuses to attend country dances when Clarence Wiles is driver. A horse mishap left a rider hung on a barb wire fence but a passerby rescued her.

Commercial Club Still Active in Western Town
At a Monday meeting the Commercial club discussed thanking the Northern Pacific Railway for two lots opposite the Golden Valley Bank to build a new club house. Plans include a temporary structure within a year with a farmers waiting room and a display of Golden Valley products. A committee will stage an amateur drama to raise funds, possibly with vaudeville between acts. March 17th was favored for events. annual election planned March 6. The club aims to boost local commerce, attract industries, and encourage immigration as Beach seeks leadership among western towns. Other notes report engagements and a Masonic Temple dedication in Dickinson and the death of C E B. Chadderdon’s mother in Minnesota.
