Dooley Montana faces fuel and food shortages as snow drifts halt railroad traffic. A Soo Line train finally breached the snow to deliver limited coal and fuel, resuming transit westward to aid ten afflicted towns including Crogan Fortuna Alkabe and Dooley. Beach High School Loses to Miles City Team 29 to 34
Beach High School fell to Miles City team 34 to 29 at the Beach Opera House in a close, well played game. A large crowd enjoyed the close contest and later a dance with Orpheum Orchestra. Postgame notes include riders Nary, Purvis, Mulligan, Olson, Tobias, and others on both teams. Mr. and Mrs. Hudgon returned from the Twin Cities after attending the automobile show and Winter Carnival.

Death of Harry Kranick in North Dakota coal mine collapse
One of the saddest accidents chronicles a mine cave in near Burkey. Harry Kranick, 28, a respected farmer from Alpha Burkey country, died of suffocation after being buried under coal and dirt for about fifteen minutes. He left a wife and four year old son, with funeral at the Methodist church in Golden Valley. Community closes businesses for the service and extends condolences to relatives.
