Explosion Destroys A E Kastien Machine Shop Kills Gilmore
Wm Gilmore a 35 year old machinist dies after a large oil tank explodes in A E Kastien’s shop at Beach. The blast injuries include crushed limbs and burns. Gilmore who recently moved from Peoria Ill to Beach with his wife, was a K P member and leaves a wife a mother and three sisters. He carried $1300 in life and accident insurance to his wife.

Accidental Shooting Fatal for Marmarth Man William Keppler
In Marmarth an accidental gun discharge while a resident demonstrated an automatic revolver fatally wounded William Keppler. He died January 23 1909 after medical care failed. Death leaves him near 87, a Wisconsin native with surviving family. no arrests were made. The Bowman County News reports.

Arrested for Cattle Stealing in Miles City Case
1909 report states Chas. Gore a young rancher near Carlyle was arrested for killing and selling cattle. Deputies Wynn and Reed found two carcasses and hides with brands removed at Gore's home, then proved Gore had sold two beeves nearby.
