A slip of a girl Jennie Molley, a country school teacher near Golden Valley, defended herself with a 32 calibre revolver after repeated break ins. She shot a intruder, John Witmer, who rode into Wibaux with a gunshot wound to the head. Doctors treated Witmer. the incident follows earlier threats and a tense night at the rural school.

Medora Herald reports O'Rourke of Beach secured a marriage license Monday to wed Bessie J. Gullick of Wibaux. J. Denoyer served as state attorney in the Gip Jones Marvin case before Justice N. D. Nichols. Henry Walters of Beach traveled via Modora to Bowman county. he plans return to Sparta after recent construction work and prospecting in the south counties as Gip Jones faces assault charges.

Golden Valley Band Receives Five New Conn Instruments
The Golden Valley Military Band bought five instruments for 300 dollars two cornets two mellophones and a clarinet. One mellophone belongs to Frank Emerson while the rest are band property. The Conn factory in Elkhart Indiana supplied the gear and most band instruments are Conn. A new scenery outfit for the Brinton Opera House was also received and will be installed for the minstrel show next Friday.

The wedding party traveled from the eastern end of the county to Medora for a nuptial mass at the Catholic church. Rev.
