Mob Lynches Convicted Man in Williston
About 2 o'clock this morning a mob of 60 armed men seized Cleve Culbertson, the convicted murderer, from the Williston county jail and hanged him from the Little Muddy river bridge. Eleven shots were fired, five through the body. Sheriff Erickson, States Attorney Burdick and the coroner took the body back to town. The mob, said to be from out of town, also seized the telephone office and fire hall to prevent an alarm. Culbertson had been found guilty of first degree murder in the Dillon family killings on December 9. Governor Demands Probe and will seek a full investigation.

Bowman N D De 17 Bowman was represented at the White House wedding. Mrs H Otansky read the recipe for the big wedding cake and baked a smaller version. She placed the bride and groom names in candles. The cake was shipped by parcel post and arrived safely. The Otanskys received a thank you letter from the bride and an invitation to the reception from the President and Mrs Wilson. The couple are Jewish Russian immigrants seeking freedom in the United States. Mrs Otansky is noted for her culinary skill.

Murderer Jailed At Medora
Constable Nystad lodged Nick Palshniuk of Gorham in the Medora county jail on charges of the December 10 murder with a 25-20 rifle at 150 yards. Pahlaniuk claimed self defense after harassments by the slain man’s family. the incident left one dead and the accused, illiterate and confused, awaiting arraignment.

Fourth Annual Boys and Girls Institute at Agricultural College

Crime Wave At Medora Shocks North Dakota Victims
Medora North Dakota reports a surge of crime with one man jailed for assault with a dangerous weapon another held on murder charges and four more arrested for cattle theft. Named suspects include William and Charles Strawshine Albert and William Boice. A cow allegedly killed belonged to a neighbor near Yale. Farmers Hold Big Railroad Meeting
Farmers in the south country hold a large meeting at Burkey school house attended by over 100 to discuss building an electric line from Golden Valley to Baker Montana. They plan stock subscriptions by distance from the line and appoint canvassers across districts with a follow up meeting expected in Carlyle.
